Paulson’s bailout plan has me furious.

Oh, and now McCain wants to cancel the debate? I’m no fool, and neither are millions of other Americans. We surely do have a financial crisis, but we also want to hear you speak at the debate. Hiding behind this crisis is a cheap distraction that fools no one.

About megstar73

I'm a 37 year old living in the East Bay near San Pablo Bay. I have worked as a Gallery Assistant at a small community college and am a medical assistant who has trained as a phlebotomist. I need to find time in my busy schedule as the mother of a very active toddler to study and get my phlebotomist's license. Interests include cheese, exotic beverages (not the alcoholic kind), ethnic food, improving my culinary skills, bacon, reading, music of all genres and combining all of the above together with friends! Last but not least, I love being the mother of a beautiful, sweet darling little girl. How lucky am I?

  1. Me too it’s total bullsh*t! You clever, that picture so eerily fitting ruination.
We are having stellar weather on the s. bay. I’m eating it up.
Thank you for the birthday greeting, I’m reverberating from the lovely party we had last night. I still have to clean up, though.
¿Le gustaría venir a jugar en la playa?

  2. Oh man, you’re busting me on my shoddy Spanish! I do like to go to the beach. Glad you’re having a great day! Do you like the Pixies?

  3. If you mean the band from Boston, heck Yes! My husband’s a masshole, he grew up on the North shore of Cape Cod so by law I’m required to like everything Bostonian. Massholes can be very scary fans so you must go along with them, or suffer the consequences. It’s some disjointed puritanical thing I think. heh heh heh
I heard the Pixies are going on tour soon.

  4. This picture is so scary — just like this frigging mess we’re in. I need to educate myself more on this bailout thing…but my initial thought is, WHY should taxpayers be the ones to bail out these companies? Then again, I don’t want that photo you’ve posted to become the reality. Ugh. I’m feeling nauseous.

  5. I know, we’re in a terrible fix, and I really hope that our senators and representatives do the right thing. i wrote to mine yesterday telling them to vote NO on the bailout, or if they had to to do so with some serious stipulations, such as bipartisan oversight, no golden parachutes for the CEOs and other company officers that got us into this mess, etc.

The photo, by the way is of Market Street, San Francisco after the Great Earthquake and fire of 1906.

  6. Who didn’t know that GWB would bankrupt this nation? Hasn’t he bankrupted every organization he’s been in charge of. Yes, he has.

Our senators?, like John Mccain? Ya, he’s keeping it real. NOT.
Did you hear what happen on David Letterman last night?
We don’t have TV so I didn’t see it but Howard Stern broadcast it on Sirius radio this morning.
It’s totally scathing and illuminating. Maybe it’s on youtube? Ya, here is some of it:

John Mccain canceled (Dave and) Fridays debate because he doesn’t want to stand next to Obama, he’d look like an irrelevant out of touch old man- which he is.

I will have to sit with a pen and do as you’ve done. What’s happening is outrageous and criminal.
    You rock!

  7. Thanks Claire, but it’s just something I couldn’t keep quiet about. Moer people need to be vocal about what is going on, and we all need to vote so that we have a chance to keep our heads above water.
