High grade

MIA announced that her June 13th performance Bonnaroo was her last. Sucky.
Where will I get my high-grade Sri Lankan rap from now?

This video is aces because MIA actually did all the art for this herself. She created the stencils, and the the director, MIA and the video crew spent hours stenciling together to make this video. I love that they all worked together to do it.

About megstar73

I'm a 37 year old living in the East Bay near San Pablo Bay. I have worked as a Gallery Assistant at a small community college and am a medical assistant who has trained as a phlebotomist. I need to find time in my busy schedule as the mother of a very active toddler to study and get my phlebotomist's license. Interests include cheese, exotic beverages (not the alcoholic kind), ethnic food, improving my culinary skills, bacon, reading, music of all genres and combining all of the above together with friends! Last but not least, I love being the mother of a beautiful, sweet darling little girl. How lucky am I?

  1. Thank you for featuring M.I.A. — she is one of my favorite artists. I support Sri Lankan talent, being one — I think they do a lot of lift up our spirits. One of my favorites too is Delon , he’s a great Sri Lankan American rapper that’s so great to watch. Let’s support our country and fight for unity the way these artists have.

  2. Thanks for your comment! I’m definitely going to check out Delon, thank you for the tip! I love hearing new music, and always look for music that has a fresh sound. Although I’m not Sri Lankan, I’m happy to promote anyone who is proud of their culture, and to introduce others to sounds they may not have heard before. Hopefully you’ll be able to find new things on my site that are of interest to you Abby! The Felling Lucky link at the top will give you a random post, that can be fun and since I haven’t indexed everything yet it may be a good way to find something fun and new.
