Gloss Alert!

Standard

I bought this Napoleon Perdis gloss a couple of weeks ago at Sephora, and I love it so much I went back and bought a back-up. It’s currently half-off the original $20, so I’m thinking that they are going to discontinue the line when the supplies run out. That will be no good! The formula feels emollient, and is plumping, so it gives you a tingly feel. Especially important, for me, is that the formulation isn’t goppy, I really dislike that in a gloss. Dallas is a shimmery pink sheer, which looks really fresh alone, and sparks up a lipstick when layered on top. The shimmery bits are microfine, so they don’t make you look like you’re on the way to a rave. Sao Paolo is a sheer red that I LOVE. It is so hard to find a gloss that doesn’t look too garish for everyday wear, and this color looks so charming with rosy cheeks.

I'm a 37 year old living in the East Bay near San Pablo Bay. I have worked as a Gallery Assistant at a small community college and am a medical assistant who has trained as a phlebotomist. I need to find time in my busy schedule as the mother of a very active toddler to study and get my phlebotomist's license. Interests include cheese, exotic beverages (not the alcoholic kind), ethnic food, improving my culinary skills, bacon, reading, music of all genres and combining all of the above together with friends! Last but not least, I love being the mother of a beautiful, sweet darling little girl. How lucky am I?

  1. this makes me miss sephora. and the thrill of finding amazing product from an obscure brand…

i have a sinking feeling that our next trip to the states will break my bank.

  2. I try not to go there, but I had a $50 gift certificate that had been burning a hole in my pocket for nearly a year. i spent $80 total, and got some sweet stuff.
